About Dutta Art Collective

Dutta Art Collective was born from love — a son's love for his mother, and a mother's lifelong love for art.

Ratna Dutta has been painting since the 1960s, when she won state-level awards in West Bengal for her work. A trained artist and dedicated art teacher, she spent decades sharing her passion with students, though she never pursued selling her paintings professionally. Art, for her, was always something to give — not to sell.

That changed in 2020. After the passing of her husband, during the isolating months of the pandemic, painting became Ratna's way of processing grief and finding solace. Canvas by canvas, she poured her sorrow, her memories, and her enduring love for India's landscapes, temples, and traditions into her work.

Watching his mother paint through her pain, her son Samrat Dutta knew these works deserved to be seen by the world.

Dutta Art Collective is that vision made real — a way to share Ratna's art beyond the walls of her home, and to give her a meaningful, dignified source of income from the craft she has devoted her life to.

Every print in our collection is produced using museum-quality Giclée printing — a process that captures the richness, texture, and depth of the original paintings with exceptional fidelity and durability. We believe great art should not be exclusive. Our prints bring Ratna's world into your home at a fraction of the cost of an original, without compromising on quality.

When you bring a Dutta Art Collective print into your home, you are not just buying art. You are becoming part of a story — of resilience, of a mother's expression, and of a family's wish to share something beautiful with the world.
